The American Marketing Association – San Antonio Chapter (AMA San Antonio) is proud to unveil the new AMASanAntonio.org website, officially launch the new AMA San Antonio logo, and adopt the new AMA branding platform.
In May 2016, the American Marketing Association (AMA) adopted a new brand identity and logo for the international organization. By the middle of the year, AMA began working with local chapters for ubiquitous adoption and implementation.
According to AMA.org, the new brand identity and logo reflects both the transformation of the organization and its vision for the future. Since 1937, the AMA has been the pre-eminent force in marketing for thought leadership and valued relationships across the entire marketing community. The new logo is simple and versatile. It embodies the trend of forwardness and bias toward action of the AMA community.
With incremental adoption in late 2016, AMA San Antonio was an early adopter of the new branding platform. The primary color palette of bone white, French navy blue and black evokes intellectual gravitas, trust and power, representing our commitment to being the most relevant force and voice shaping marketing around the world (AMA.org.)
In addition to a total replacement of the old AMA-SA logo, the San Antonio Chapter’s nomenclature is also shifting. Previously referred to as “AMA-SA” the local chapter will now use “AMA San Antonio.” This slight name change aims to become more aligned with the national standard for local chapters.
To reflect the updated name, AMA San Antonio will unveil a new website domain: AMASanAntonio.org. The AMASanAntonio.org website encompasses the new branding without abandoning any of the previous site’s functionality.
Starting January 31, 2017, web traffic to AMA-SA.org will be automatically redirected to the new site. The auto redirect will be in place for at least six months.
