“Turn-it-Up” Chapter of the Year Award

The national American Marketing Association (AMA) recently awarded the AMA San Antonio Chapter the “Turn-it-Up” Chapter of the Year Award for the 2016-2017 term as part of the annual Chapter Excellence Awards (CEA) program.

Since 1974, the AMA has recognized professional chapters’ outstanding achievements in leadership, finance, membership, programming, and communications. AMA professional chapters are evaluated in all aspects of chapter operations.

“This award exemplifies all the hard work of our volunteers and our Board Members to fulfill our chapter’s mission,” said Vanessa C. Torres, 2017-2018 president of AMA San Antonio. “We aim to provide consistent, relevant, and impactful programming to engage and develop marketers throughout our city.”

Jason Ellis, 2016-2017 President and current Immediate Past President, will ceremonially accept the award at the AMA Summit for professional chapters in April 2018. This award includes a $500 stipend for the Chapter.
