Join Our Speaker’s Bureau and Claim Your Fame

You’re an expert in your field – and now you can showcase your talents by joining the AMA Speakers’ Bureau.  We’re always looking for marketers willing to share their expertise with our local university professors, collegiate leaders and student chapter members.

Please take just 5 minutes to register for our Speakers Bureau at this link. Your information will be made available to local university professors, AMA Student Chapter faculty sponsors and officers when classes in the next few weeks.  They will reach out to you directly if your area of expertise aligns with their needs, so that they can schedule your talk.

Other Ways to Engage with The AMA Collegiate Community

We have plans for an active academic year, and invite our AMA professional members to support our community through a range of initiatives focused on providing our future marketers with real-world business experiences.  Please plan to engage with students by participating in any (or all) of these programs:

  • Become a Mentor – volunteer 1-2 hours per month to coach a student AMA member.
  • Take a Student to Work – Offer a student the opportunity to shadow you at work one day to gain a birds-eye view of the reality of your profession.
  • Hire an Intern – The most important trait for a new college grad is prior experience working as an intern.  Post your internship HERE.
  • Host a Behind-the-Scenes Visit to Your Company –  Invite AMA students and faculty to get to know your company – either on-site or at a public venue. Explain how you manage the marketing for your company, showcase marketing campaigns, introduce your senior leaders, and offer the opportunity to meet with your HR recruiters.

Visit Caterpillar Global Marketing Headquarters on Sept. 27

We’ll start the academic year with a very special event – a visit to the state-of-the-art global headquarters of Caterpillar in Seguin on Wednesday, Sept. 27th (2 sessions – 2-4 PM and 6 – 8 PM).  The event will include a factory tour, a close-up view of their tradeshow displays, a presentation by Caterpillar marketing leaders, and the chance to network with Caterpillar recruiters.  Professional AMA members are invited to attend if they agree to mentor a student or participate in any of the above student-focused programs.
